The Recovery House is a place to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives by applying simple steps and principles of recovery. This experience allows us to be changed. We start this process by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. Soon we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our problems. By applying these Biblical principles, we being to grow spiritually and are set free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program, we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power, Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.

What are the hurts, hang-ups and habits that bring bondage and control our lives?

Hurts, Hand-ups and habits are the things that hinder us from having the relationship with God we need to be truly free from bondage. Generally speaking, they are anything that keeps you from realizing your full potential that God has planned for your life. Hurts, habits and hang-ups can keep you from God’s plan and head you toward a worldly detour bringing destruction, despair, and almost everyone has hurts, hang-ups and habits at some point in their lives.

The process of coming to recognize that we are not in control and cannot find healing on our own is the beginning of walking the path of recovery. Then we begin to share our experiences, strengths and hopes with others who have worked the process of restoration and become our encouragement and support. Then comes the willingness to accept God’s grace in solving our problems, and applying Biblical principles, resulting in the beginning of growing spiritually and finding freedom from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors.
